This facility consists of 60,000 SF of space that includes 4,000 SF of office space and 56,000 SF of high bay racking systems and an extensive loading dock area.
The Harper project team, along with the assistance of MEP subcontractors, developed a cost-effective design conforming to the objectives of Upward’s operation. MEP subcontractors performed design-build services under Harper’s contract.
Tremendous teamwork was exhibited throughout the process. Upward, Harper, and the architect - McMillan Pazdan Smith - participated as true partners. Significant efforts were spent during design development to ensure that design and construction met the overall budget. Harper reviewed a number of options that the Owner considered during the design process with components such as concrete wall panels vs. metal panels, pre-engineered structural system vs. conventional steel frame, etc.
