PROJECT OVERVIEW
Harper was selected to perform the site work and construction services for Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School (Fisher), a state-of-the-art middle school that features a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) based curriculum. This structure is the first of its kind in Greenville County. Encompassing 179,000 SF, this three-story middle school serves up to 1,000 students and is located on the Millennium Campus in Greenville. Fisher is additionally equipped with a net zero greenhouse facility, a wind harvest system for power, solar panels for hot water, and a low impact storm water collection system.
Despite significant weather setbacks, the project was finished in time for the start of the school year in August due to the project team's commitment to the schedule. The project was also delivered under-budget, within the updated GMP.
